Portfolio: Crider Nightstands
March 21, 2008
A client came to me frustrated she had not been able to find the right nightstands. So we designed some from scratch.
She wanted a design that was fairly simple and traditional, and she also liked the idea of an “undershelf” — a place to put books and whatnot so the top can be kept uncluttered.
This pair of pieces is made from
Oregon maple, which often has a lovely “curl.”
The cost to commission a pair in a similar vein is about $1800, depending on your choice of wood.

These are my favorite pieces of furniture, by far. Unparalleled design and woodworking. A joy to use every day!
