About the craftsman
I have been building furniture in Eugene, Ore., since 1999. I studied under the woodworker, teacher and writer Gary Rogowski, graduating in 2004 from his Mastery Program at the Northwest Woodworking Studio in Portland, Ore.
I do custom work on commission, and I have shown my pieces in exhibits in Portland and Eugene. In 2005, I won the first place Community Choice Award and second place Peer’s Choice Award at the “Oregon Made for Interiors” exhibit at Maude Kerns Art Center in Eugene.
I work in a small shop, a converted garage, outside my 1926 bungalow, where I live with my wife and two young daughters.
My commitment on materials
In the past few years I have committed to using lumber, whenever possible, from trees that have been salvaged in western Oregon or otherwise harvested responsibly.
